Fire Light is the first Scifi & Fantasy Readers novel to meet the quality standards required.

** For full disclosure, this standard was written by J. Abram Barneck before he published this book as a way to raise its quality. The requirement of a professional editor, proofreaders, and a quality cover are key to his book’s success.

Other small press and indie authors have discussed this standard and are considering using it for their books. Hopefully, by implementing an industry standard, we can separate those that meet the standard and those that don’t. The intention is that over time, more people will adopt this standard, and while J. Abram Barneck will likely always be involved, it will hopefully be managed by fans and readers and publishers.
